Terms of Service & License
Please read these terms and conditions carefully before deploying or utilizing any of the Argus Security software products, packages, or services.
01 // Argus Commercial License
All software products in the Argus Secuirty (including but not limited to Argus Shield, Argus Sentinel, Argus Crypt, ProxyLB, and Argus Vault) are licensed under the proprietary Argus Commercial License.
Unlike open-source alternatives, this software is strictly closed-source and proprietary. Permission is hereby granted, upon validation of a cryptographic JWT license issued by Argus Security, to install and run the software within the limits specified by your purchased tier (Free, Trial, Pro, or Enterprise).
WARNING: Reverse engineering, unauthorized redistribution, source extraction, or bypassing license verification APIs (including but not limited to the licensing-server heartbeats and local grace period validations) is strictly prohibited and constitutes a material breach of this agreement.
02 // "Best Efforts" Service Level Guarantee
All products and central cloud authentication registries are provided on a "best efforts" basis. While we strive to maintain high availability across all services:
- Local agent services (e.g. Shield data planes, Sentinel ingestion loops) include built-in offline failover mechanisms (such as token-bucket fallbacks if Redis connection pool is disrupted).
- Central license check endpoints maintain a 72-hour grace period. Replicas will degrade gracefully rather than hard-stopping production traffic during transient network interruptions.
- Argus Security reserves the right to perform scheduled maintenance, service migrations, or software upgrades that may cause temporary interruptions.
03 // Disclaimer of Warranties & Liability Limits
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
In no event shall Argus Security, its developers, or affiliates be liable for any direct, indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of the use or inability to use the software. This includes, but is not limited to:
By deploying this software, you acknowledge that security is a multi-layered practice, and you assume all operational risks associated with network administration, routing, and key rotation.
